The Step Over Fake is the sister trick to the Step Over Turn. This trick allows you to beat a defender 1v1 and or in some space to attack.

 

This is a good change of direction fake.

 

The trick is best used to 'wrong foot' a defender by cutting in on his/her weaker side depending on the position he/she plays.

 

Remember to go slower in to the fake and faster out of it to get away from the opponent. Practice having a shot or cross after mastering this fake.
