FULL BIO

I grew up with the game of soccer. In England I played from a very young age, right through college and semi-professionally. I’ve been coaching since 2002, first for Wycombe Wanderers Football Club in England and then in the U.S. with the Major League Soccer (MLS) youth programs and the Sunnyvale Alliance Soccer Club.  I have also coached at Gunn High School in Palo Alto and St. Lawrence Academy in Santa Clara. I’ve coached with the U14 youth team of a professional soccer football team in England as well: Shrewsbury Town Football Club. Shrewsbury Town happens to be the home team of Joe Hart, England’s current #1 goalkeeper. Before he moved over to Manchester City, Joe played for the Shrewsbury Town team!

In September 2008 I got my Masters degree in Sports Management and the Business of Football from Birkbeck College at the University of London. Then, during the month of October 2008, I embarked on an adventure in Zambia, Southern Africa, coaching soccer there to children. Zambia has one of the world’s most devastating HIV and AIDS epidemics and so I used soccer coaching to reach young people and increase their understanding of HIV and AIDS in the hope of enabling them to live safe and healthy lives. Below is a video I made from my adventure:
